Went to check out place for our camp during "Oman Week". The whole school goes on camp at the same time but all to different places. Taya is camping for three nights and will include snorkeling. Kameron is riding a camel for a week. Don't envy him that! My class will camp for two nights so had to go and find a place. Luckily one of the local teacher assistants offered her father's farm so Leo (the head of secondary) and I went there yesterday to check it out. It will be perfect. Then Miss Eiman's mother had cooked us lunch. Her father welcomed us into their 'majilis' or meeting room where we ate separately from the family. It was so welcoming and kind. We were very spoiled with chicken birayani and salad, followed by tea and a serving try full of different homemade biscuits and a bowl full of donuts. Then her father invited me to her wedding in February and also to bring the kids there. Such an amazing experience to be welcomed into their home.
