Abu Dhabi

With time off for Sultan's birthday and to celebrate his good health we have come to Abu Dhabi for a couple of days R and R. Fabulous morning kayaking through the mangroves. With Tania Drower other kiwi teacher from school.

Bit hard to see but it was The Empty Pot - a Chinese folktale. Taya's words .... Boring. Certainly not like the productions we are used to and the music teacher plans and does everything so it's unfortunate we can't have more input. 

National Day Celebrations

Today was officially National day in Oman. Sultan Qaboos' birthday. Two days off next week. One to celebrate his birthday and one to celebrate his good health. Our local staff put on Omani food and tea and coffee - it was all beautiful!

Another great weekend camping

With the much cooler weather camping this weekend was so much nicer. We headed out to the Red Dunes and had a lot of fun!
